Tucked in the heart of downtown, just steps from the hum of Lexington Market and the quiet beauty of Mt. Vernon, there’s a doorway you might walk past without knowing what waits inside.
Step through it, and you’ll find something rare: a space that feels like home—but isn’t anyone’s alone.
Welcome to Baltimore Community Commons at The Mulberry—a shared gathering space, a sanctuary for connection, and a seedbed for community care.
This isn’t just a room with chairs. It’s a breathing, evolving commons where people come to be together. To co-work, to cook, to organize, to rest. To dream aloud. To host a workshop or a poetry night. To build something new with their neighbors—or simply to share a cup of tea in good company.
At Baltimore Community Commons, we believe that space shapes relationship. And The Mulberry was created with intention: not just to house programs, but to hold people. The first floor of The Mulberry will be a clubhouse and community living room that will host workshops, classes, potlucks, performances, and local business pop ups. -
Art lines the walls, and ideas float through the air. And when the right mix of people gathers, something magical happens: conversations turn into collaborations. Strangers become teammates. Time slows down, and possibility opens up.
It’s a radical thing, to make a place where everyone belongs.
Not because they paid for a ticket. Not because they’re part of a club. But simply because they showed up—and because community is a birthright, not a luxury.
The Mulberry is that kind of place. A co-created, ever-changing space for rest, imagination, and solidarity.
We’re hosting workshops, healing circles, strategy sessions, pop-up dinners, and open mic nights. But more than that, we’re hosting you. Your gifts. Your stories. Your questions. Your care.
Stay a while. Meet someone new. Bring something to share—or just bring yourself.
Because this city is ours to grow. And The Mulberry is one of the places we get to start.
Opening expected in early 2026.
